Skin Care

The dermis is our biggest organ and the one that takes the biggest beating from our environment. It is important to nurture and nourish our skin so that it can continue to work for us, keep up with us, and let us put our best face forward. If you are unsure as to which treatment is best suited to your needs, our skincare consultants are happy to discuss your concerns and determine the best path for your unique situation. Some of the benefits offered by treating your skin to a facial include increased blood circulation, lymphatic drainage, helping with the relaxation of facial muscles thereby slowing the signs of aging skin, and helping reduce puffiness and sagging in the facial muscles.

Classic Facial

As the most cost-effective facial, it can be a good place to start for a novice.  The process involves cleansing, exfoliating, applying a soothing mask (appropriate for all skin types), a facial massage, and the application of an effective hydrating agent. It will leave your skin feeling quenched and relaxed. It is recommended twice a month for dry, tired, wrinkle-prone, dull and stressed skin. Keep lacklustre skin at bay! It is not recommended for acne prone skin.

Acne Facial

This is ideal for oily, acne prone skin as this treatment aims to remove impurities and debris from the skin, thereby unclogging pores. The most common method includes using exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and excess oils. This results in reduced oil production, as well as a noticeable reduction in inflammation and irritation. It gives the skin a matte appearance while maintaining much needed moisture.

Anti-Aging Facial

Like the name suggests, this facial aims to give the appearance of younger skin by extracting excess oils and tightening the pores. We use a variety of fruit derived acids and enzymes to help exfoliate dead skin cells and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and age spots.

Microdermabrasion

This treatment has been a fan favourite for decades because the results are evident and the treatment is customized to individual clients.  This procedure involves using fine crystals on the face and neck to act as a sander, removing the rough outer layer of the skin. It generally improves skin tone, and is often used to treat damage from the sun, discolouration, light scarring, etc… and is an option for all skin types.  It is a rejuvenating treatment that can also be used to enhance the result of other treatments, such as anti-aging products.  Keep in mind that while face and neck are the most popular areas for this procedure, it can be done anywhere on the body to address scars, melasma, dark sports, etc…

Chemical Peel

Though there are kits that offer this procedure at home, it is always recommended to seek the services of a trained and experienced professional in order to avoid damaging the skin. Chemical peels help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, acne scars and hyperpigmentation. The procedure essentially involves the application of a chemical solution to remove the top layers of your skin, exposing more youthful skin with less wrinkles and a healthier glow. The effects are not permanent and it is a procedure to repeat. Depending on your skin type, we can add a soothing facial mask to your treatment.

Microneedling

Also called Collagen Induction Therapy, it is a procedure that uses small needles to prick the skin with an aim to generate more collagen and skin tissue, giving the skin a firmer and more toned appearance. The procedure is generally considered safe for all people, except those who are pregnant, on certain acne medications or suffer from certain skin conditions. Our experienced consultants will gladly guide you towards the right procedure for your needs. Since the procedure encourages the skin to regenerate, you will begin to see results within a couple of weeks from the treatment, but you need at least three sessions for noticeable results, with a minimum of 21 days between each treatment. This treatment can address a plethora of skin issues such as spots, wrinkles, etc…, so our experienced consultants will customize each package for serum used, length of treatment, and cost based on the end results you wish to achieve. Any redness and irritation you may experience will dissipate within the first few days, but be sure to wear sunscreen as your skin will be more sensitive until it fully regenerates.

Aftercare

There will be some redness and inflammation to the skin, though the intensity will vary based on your skin type. It is best to avoid the sun for 1 to 3 days after the procedure. You are encouraged to use high quality sunscreen for at least a week after the treatment to prolong the effects, but we also encourage you to use it regularly to treat your skin with the respect it deserves! The details of your aftercare will be customized to your skin type, procedure and goals. Keep in mind that your commitment to the aftercare is critical to the success of your treatment.
